FREQUENTLY ASKED FORMAT QUESTIONS.

HOW DO I SIGN INTO CLASSES?

2. Sign Up through the Format Fitness App, available on the App Store & Google Play.

WHEN SHOULD I GET TO CLASS?

NEW CLIENTS: To ensure the safety of our clients, if you are new to the Format Method, we expect that you arrive 15 minutes before class begins. We require that all new clients receive a proper introduction to the instructor and the equipment. For your safety, new clients will not be permitted to join class after the start of the workout. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

​EXISTING CLIENTS: 5 minutes prior to the start of class. We do understand that LIFE happens. Existing clients can enter class up to 1 minute after the start of the workout.

After 1 minute, our doors will be locked to ensure the safety and a proper experience to the rest of our clients. Also note, in the case that you arrive late for class, your spot may be given to a walk-in or waitlisted client 1 minute into class.

CAN I WORKOUT WHILE PREGNANT?

Please consult your doctor before attending any of our classes while pregnant. We are a heated studio, therefore, we do suggest all preganant classes to get doctors approval prior to taking a Format class. Contact us if you have any other questions.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST WORK?

If our classes are full, we have a waitlist of up to 20 spots…

​If you are added from the waitlist to the class, within our cancellation window, the 8-hour cancellation policy still applies.

​We offer a one hour grace period before class that will let you early cancel if you can’t make it to the class..

AGE LIMIT?

The youngest Format client can be 16 years old, and must be accompanied by a parent until they are 18 years of age.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?

WORKOUT ATTIRE - We suggest fitted clothing so that our instructors can effectively see and correct form & alignment during the course of class.

We also require mats, so bring your own mat. And a sweat towel as well, unless you want to rent a towel from the studio,

DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN MAT?

The Format is a mat studio, therefore mats are required for each modality and class. Please bring your own mat, unless you want to rent a Format mat (Manduka) for a $4.00 fee. All founding receive free mat rentals!

DO YOU OFFER A BEGINNERS CLASS?

All of our classes are open to all levels! We have clients at every age & stage in life. From the new mom, to the college athlete, to the person who can't remember the last time they worked out, this workout and method will challenge everyone safely. We really are “for all, on the mat” !!!

I SIGNED UP FOR A CLASS AND CAN’T MAKE IT, WHAT DO I DO?

No problem, just be sure to cancel your class 8 hours in advance, or you will be charged a late cancellation fee of $10.

​*MAKE SURE YOU LATE CANCEL (!!!) A No Show Fee = $20.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION POLICIES?

If you need to cancel or change a class reservation, this must be done up to 8 hours prior to class; the class will go back onto your account to use at a later date.

If you do not cancel 8 hours before class, this is considered a "Late Cancel" and you will incur a $10 fee.

​If you are signed up for class and "No-Show" the class, you will incur a $20 fee.

​If you late cancel or no-show and have a class package, in addition, you will lose the class.

DO YOU PROVIDE WATER?

We have a variety of refreshing beverages at the front of our studio, including water bottles, energy drinks & MORE!

​Don’t want to purchase water? Bring your own!

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHERE DO I PARK?

574 Franklin Road Unit 110 Franklin, TN 37069 — just across from Herban Market & underneath TN Alternative Medicine.

Parking is free at the spots all around our space.

what memberships are offered?

We offer various memberships and drop in options at both of our studios. Check out our MEMBERSHIP PAGE to see what we offer!

​All memberships are paid on the day of the month in which you first purchased your contract.

I’m running late, what happens next?

If you are more than 1 minute late to class, you will be late cancelled from the class, and unable to participate in the session.

CAN I FREEZE OR CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?

Contracts are NOT to be terminated or put on hold. In the case of extreme circumstances contact info@theformatfitness.com

Under extreme circumstances, contracts can be put on hold for $50/ per month OR terminated for a fee of $100, with a 14 day notice.

If you are on a 3 month contract minimum (example: founding memberships/ 4x/ 8x/ 12x/ unlimited), and have surpassed the 3 month minimum, you are able to cancel your membership but we must have a 14 day notice. If you have not informed info@theformatfitness.com within 14 days, you are at risk of another monthly contracted charge.

I WANT A PRIVATE LESSON, HOW DOES THAT WORK?

Contact info@theformatfitness.com and we will schedule you a private session, or connect you with Tayler Jordan our personal trainer on site.

​Privates range in session based on your instructor of choice.

ARE THERE ANY OTHER STUDIO RULES?

Prior to taking class, you must sign an online waiver via Mariana Tek.

​We are not responsible for any lost or stolen items in-studio.

We have a NO PHONE POLICY in our hot room. Please keep your phone placed in a locker prior to joining class x
